After a recommendation from Lemmy, I downloaded KDE mobile alongside plasma desktop to see if my touchscreen would work better.
This took a little tinkering and figuring out but I really enjoy this interface.

I’ve been thinking about using one of those as my phone. Some of those laptops have SIM slots it seems.
Does the touch screen work without problems? did you follow some sort of tutorial or was it as straightforward as installing linux on a compatible device. Also what is the base linux you used?
This is nice! Thanks for sharing. I’ve got a surface pro I’ve been meaning to convert to Linux and this looks like a good way to go!
That looks really nice! Hope you continue to enjoy it, makes me want to try the same with a touch thinkpad I’ve got…
Nice, I use GNOME on my surface pro after some issues with touch on Plasma, but I don’t like it, so this would be great.
looks awesome
Looks very clean! Nice Background. It’s the first time im seeing KDE Mobile.
This background image is also featured in Fedora KDE Plasma, along with some other shots by the same photographer.
