Can we donate to feddit.de? Is it a registered charity?

I don’t have German bank accounts. This is just the closest instance to my country.

    I think creating s patreon would be the easiest option for the server maintainers?

    The only drawback with that is, that donating from Germany you couldn’t exempt the donations from your taxes. This can be a significant amount.

    For better taxes some formal organisation may be necessary

      In Germany you need a registered association to be able to deduct donations.

      However, a registered association means considerable effort for the management.
